About Us

Reprieve matches yesomim and children of single-parent homes with experienced, carefully vetted therapists. We provide funding for the sessions. And we continue to monitor and follow up with each client for as long as therapy is needed.

About Us

Losing a parent is hard at any age. But for a young child or teen, losing a parent is everything. The same is true for divorce. No one wants their parents to divorce at any age. But if it happens when a child is young, the trauma may affect her or him for a very long time and in many different ways.

Therapy can spell the difference between:

  • Falling apart or coping
  • Depression or gradual acceptance
  • Mental illness or mental health

Yet, starting a course of therapy takes courage. It can feel frightening and overwhelming to just about anyone. But for a child or teen who has lost a parent, the fears and concerns multiply exponentially.

It’s understandable that for the single parent, helping his/her children get therapy may feel like a herculean task. There are so many questions:

  • How do I find the right therapist for my child’s needs?
  • How do I know if therapist and child are a good match?
  • How often should my child go? How often should I go?
  • How will my child get to the therapist’s office?
  • How do I pay for these services?

That’s why Reprieve is here. We understand and we care. And we will take the burden off you.

All you have to do is make that call to us. We take care of the rest.

Our Philanthropists

At the heart of transformative change lies the power of compassion and collective action. Our philanthropists are more than donors—they are catalysts for healing, hope, and personal growth.

Our platinum philanthropists are leading the way by sponsoring a full year of therapeutic support for one or more children, while our gold philanthropists are providing critical therapy sponsorships of six months or more that can fundamentally alter a young person's trajectory.

Together, we believe in the healing potential of mental health support and the life-changing impact of sustained, compassionate intervention.
